Fruit cocktail cake

1 pkg (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
1 can (16oz) fruit cocktail
2 1/2 cups flake coconut
2 eggs
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup oleo margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Combine cake mix, fruit cocktail, 1 cup syrup, 1 cup of the coconut and the eggs. Blend then beat medium speed for 2 minutes. Put in greased 13" x 9" pan sprinkle 1 cup brown sugar. Bake 325F for 45 minutes or till well done.
Bring marg and sugar and milk to boil in small pan boil 2 mins.
Remove from heat, stir in rest of coconut, spoon over hot cake.
I don't make the frosting. 2 medium lemon juice and powdered sugar and while cake is hot. Poke holes in it and pour lemon juice mixture over cake
