Ada's Sugar Cookies

1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
3 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt

blend shortening, butter, sugar, if electric mixer, put eggs in one at a time.
blend in sifted dry ingredients, chill if its soft. 350F

3/4 teaspoon salt

method
blend shortening, butter, sugar, if electric mixer out eggs in one at a time. Blend in sifted dry ingredients
chill if it is too soft. roll out cut in desired shapes. oven 350 (watch)
