Coconut macaroons

2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
1- 3 1/2 can (1 1/3 cup) flaked coconut

Beat egg whites with dash of salt
And the vanilla till soft
Peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating till stiff. Fold in coconut.
Drop onto greased cooking sheet.
Bake at 350f about 20 min.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.

Dads cookies

1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 cups fine coconut
6 tablespoons corn syrup
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 scant teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 cups fine oatmeal
2 teaspoons ginger
2 teaspoons allspice
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Roll in balls and put on sheet a few inches apart

Bohemian cookies

1 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup icing sugar
6oz sweet milk chocolate(ground)
Salt and vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1 cup walnuts

Drop by teaspoons on ungreased

Bake 225f for 40 min

Best shortbread

1 cup butter, soft
2 cups flour
1/2 cup berry sugar

Cream butter until fluffy add sugar gradually, work until light. Add 1 3/4 cup flour, reserve 1/4 cup for bake board. Turn out and knead.

Yorkshire pudding

1 cup flour (salt)
3 eggs
Milk, about 1 cup, makes thin like pancake batter.
Splash of water about 1 tablespoon.
Stir with a wooden spoon, or whisk, not blender. Leave l-?-.
Make an hr or so in advance
-over-

Every time you go by give it a stir.
Oil pan "fat" fill 2/3 full.
400F for 10 mins
Drop to 350F leave until high and firm

Coffee Bavarian

1 tablespoon gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 1/4 cup hot milk add 2 1/2 teaspoon coffee
1/3 cup white sugar and salt
Stir until sugar and gelatin dissolve
Cold add vanilla
Chill till partly set, beat till frothy
Fold in 1/2 pt beaten whipping cream
Put in greased mold

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

Cream 1 cup margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 white sugar
Add 2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine 1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Beat into creamed mixture
Stir in 2 cup chocolate chips
and 2 cups rolled oats
Drop onto cookie sheet
Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes
